About Me

My name is Johannes Noe and I am a videographer and editor located in Berlin, Germany. I work with the Panasonic HVX 200 and Final Cut Studio, specialized in colorgrading and OS X automation. For this I use Applescript, Automator, Controller Mate and Keyboard Maestro.
To save money for high quality equipment like camera, monitors and software, I try to build as much equipment as possible myself, but without sacrificing to much usability and quality. The legendary 15$ Steadycam for example is not an option for me. The “machines” from homebuiltstabilizers.com however are. Of course these are much harder to build, but if you try to be a professional, you have to have at least semiprofessional equipment to start with.

I made this blog for three reasons:

1. To give an overview of the projects I am working on, regarding video and design. This is mostly for my friends and all the “semistalkers” who are interested in some strangers life.
2. To give more background informations and definitions about the projects which I am twittering about.
3. To provide you with informations about useful and not so useful DIY-projects, mostly depending to videography and editing.

You will find some articles written in German, but these are the ones you are probably not interested in anyway.
